SHEroes Resilience Summer School:
Empowering Women in Disaster Risk Reduction through Heritage
She is a post-doctoral researcher affiliated with Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST) of Politecnico di Torino (POLITO) in Italy. She is PhD in Architecture and Landscape Heritage program at POLITO and holds MSc Degree in Architecture for the Restoration and Enhancement of Heritage from the same university. She has collaborated with École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris as an invited researcher. Since 2018, she is teaching assistant in the master program of POLITO, and yearly organized International Summer School entitled ‘’Cultural Heritage, Cities, and Digital Humanities” organized by POLITO and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her research area focuses on the knowledge exchange between European and non-European contexts in the heritage-led decision processes that affect tangible and intangible cultural heritage of historic cities and the impacts on urban memory and urban identity of their inhabitants.
She is a Ph.D. candidate at the Inter-university Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning, Polytechnic University of Turin (POLITO) with a Master of Science degree in architecture for the sustainable project. After having specialized in the sustainability course, she continued her research with a focus on the Digital Humanities associated with cultural heritage. Since 2020, she is working in the area of digital history utilizing digital approaches and technologies applied to the cultural and natural heritage. She has collaborated with POLITO team in the European Research Project Horizon 2020 Heritage for Rural Regeneration (RURITAGE) and Contributed to the development of the digital ATLAS of RURITAGE resource ecosystem. She is a member of the funded project of POLITO, ‘’ MNEMONIC: Italian hub of cultural resilience’’ in which she has a role for spatialization of data through GIS. Her Ph.D. research focuses on the Cultural Natural Heritage-led urban and rural regeneration focusing on the geoparks territories.
